The density in the back is super high. That's why I chopped it up for my Halloween costume :) It's interesting that you make the reference to the "carpet-like" look because that's exactly how I would describe it, but people I know who don't know that I wear thought I had shaved my head, and people that I met that night SWORE it was real even after I told them otherwise. Even got a compliment from a girl I know who knows that I wear who thinks I should just shave my head. I don't think she has ever given me a compliment on my hair before! You would be amazed at what can pass for real hair. We look at it with a critical eye because we know what it is, but unless it is blatantly obvious they would never pick it out.
