JRob's Full Cap eBook- Intro
Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my Full Cap eBook.. This information is the result of years of trial and error in the world of non-surgical hair replacement. I have tried many different things over the years and have attended conventions in the US, Canada, and Europe in my quest for a great looking head of hair. I hope you enjoy learning from my experiences as much as I enjoy sharing them.
Chances are, if you are reading this you or someone you know is experiencing at least some degree of hairloss, and you have probably researched other options for hair replacement. You might have looked into hair transplants, drugs that help re-grow hair, or any number of tricks, gimmicks, and snake oil treatments that claim to help you replace the hair you have lost due to health conditions or genetics.
Hair transplants and medications are viable options for some, but for many people, especially those who are experiencing more severe forms of hair loss, they just aren’t practical.
You might have been hesitant to consider non-surgical hair replacement or “hairpieces” due to popular misconceptions and the stigma placed on them by society.
I’m happy to say that with all of the advances in the world of non-surgical hair replacement, the days of the thick “rug” type hairpieces are over. If you are new to all of this, you still might have your doubts, but this eBook was written to give you the information you need to make an informed decision about whether or not a Full Cap Hair System is right for you.
Now…on to the good stuff. Chapter 1- Topper vs. Full Cap
I went thru same problems of yours with the hair piece system and after reading your experience, I decided to go for a full cap system. Due to staying away from USA, I found it may be more suitable to choose HD13 as a base, since it may last longer specially I have tried it with my old hair piece and found it comfortable.
is that OK…? if not, what is your recommendation please.
Thanks
Hussain
Hussain,
I haven’t used monofilament bases and I tend to shy away from poly as well. From what I hear the hair lasts a long time in a mono base. As far as being undetectable to sight and touch, I can’t really say. I don’t know anyone who has had this type of base configuration on a full cap.
One thing to keep in mind with mixing base materials is that the transition areas can be iffy. The hair on the poly tends to lay flatter and is “locked” into place, whereas the hair that is tied into the lace has more movement to it. Not sure if this would apply to mono as well but I would assume so since they are both knotted. I would ask a hair tech for a second opinion before placing your order.
Let us know how it goes!
